A Florida man has been charged in a suspected bank robber who robbed a bank in Tampa, according to authorities.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement reports 19-year-old Kyle D. Cargill is charged with one count of bank robbery and one count each of attempted bank robbery, attempted theft of bank property, grand theft, and unlawful use of a firearm.

Clements was arrested on Tuesday.

Cargill and two accomplices entered the Bank of America branch at 1001 Tampa Avenue and demanded money from the teller and the tellers checkbook, according.

After pulling cash from the cash register, the group left the bank, police said.

The robbers were not hurt.

According to the arrest affidavit, Cargills accomplices drove to a parking lot on the corner of Buford and Winton streets, then got out of the car, grabbed a gun and pointed it at a police officer.

The officer responded and shot Cargil as he tried to run, according the affidavit.

The officers then chased Cargillas vehicle as he fled, the affidavit said.

Police arrested Cargillo at the bank and searched his car.

Csargill’s bail was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Tampa Municipal Court.
